Jodi graduated with distinction from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is registered with The Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) and a member of The Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).
Traditional Chinese medicine is about restoring and maintaining harmony and balance, and involves holistic approach to nurturing all aspects of life including sleep, diet, exercise and, importantly, the mind and emotions. Jodi is driven to educate others about incorporating simple, affordable changes into their everyday lives to help improve their overall well-being.
In the clinic Jodi can help with a wide range of conditions with particular interest in:
- insomnia, anxiety, sleep problems and burn out
- digestive issues
- autoimmune conditions
- weight loss
- women’s health
- skin disorders.
Treatment sessions with Jodi can include extensive consultation, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, scraping (gua sha), dietary therapy and lifestyle advice.
Jodi’s career did not start in health. Her first Bachelor degree was honours in Economics (USYD) which lead into corporate roles working in business analysis and project management. However since school Jodi had always been keenly interested in complementary medicine for her personal health decisions and now also her family. After observing the “amazing” benefits of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine on her own body, Jodi realised her passion for Traditional Chinese medicine.
Recently returned from a three-month internship in China, Jodi is excited to join the professional and caring team at Woonona Health Hub as Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner. She is dedicated to creating a practice for the local community to safely experience the benefits of Chinese medicine.i
